Recovered Back to Christ, David Wang

After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley in the Summer of 2001, I decided to attend the Full-Time Training in Anaheim, California. As a young person growing up meeting in the local church, I was really helped in my Christian pursuit. I loved the Lord, loved reading the Bible and loved being around other brothers and sisters in the Lord. But, when I went to college, I just wanted to do my own thing and experience all that the world had out there. Upon graduating, I had the deep sense to turn back to the Lord and to really pursue Him like I had while I was younger. I believe this was because of my experience of Christ as a young person meeting in the local church. I had a solid foundation in Christ. I wanted to go to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim to learn more about God and the Christian faith.

Because of my lack of pursuing the Lord during my college years, I had forgotten how to contact the Lord in prayer. One aspect of my Christian life that has been recovered and helped tremendously is this matter of prayer and having a life of prayer. This matter also goes hand in hand with having a personal time with the Lord. I've really learned in my time at the Training to trust the Lord and to bring many matters in prayer to the Lord. I treasure spending time with the Lord especially in the morning before I start my day (Mark 1:35). I'm glad that I had the opportunity to come to the Full-Time Training to re-establish habits for my going on in Christ for the rest of my life.
